Race and host for free

Everything you need on race night is free. Here's how to keep racing and hosting without a plan, week after week.

Racing for free

  1. Build boards that fit more than one event. A locked-in spec board can enter any event whose spec limits it fits, even one built for another event. Comfort cars can too, and bring your own build events take any car. Your garage shows which events each car can enter right now.
  2. Plan your 5 cars. Street holds 5 cars, and one limit covers competition and comfort cars together. Think before you delete one, because a deleted board and its art are gone for good.
  3. Spend your free tokens every month. Every board is free until you've made a full garage's worth. After that, a board that replaces one you deleted is a respec and uses 1 token. You get 3 free tokens on the 1st of every month, and they don't carry over, so use them before the month ends.
  4. Know what never costs a token. Sending a board again after it was sent back, your first favorite-car picture, and any picture that doesn't come through (you get the token back).
  5. Earn more garage room. Every badge you take to Gold adds 2 slots, and Platinum adds 3 more. Hat Trick, Perfect Series and a public Top 10 list add 2 each, up to 10 extra slots in all, on any plan.
  6. Every team event is open to you. Street enters Bronze and Silver events, and every team event is Bronze for now. A tier you earn is never taken away. If you reach Gold or Platinum, you show as Silver until you claim it, and you keep racing.
  7. Keep your spot. Check in on the round page from 2 hours before the start. At 15 minutes before, drivers who haven't checked in can lose their spot to the waitlist. If a round is full, join the waitlist: you're entered the moment a spot opens.
  8. Show off for free. Up to 10 photos in your driver gallery are free, and so is adding your podium boards to your page. Only new clips need a plan.

Hosting for free

  1. Spend your welcome pop-up. Every team gets one free pop-up night as soon as it's approved.
  2. Keep your drivers racing. Every result your drivers score counts for the team: 4 for a win, 3 for second, 2 for third and 1 just for racing. Every 12 team points earns a free pop-up night, and every 48 earns a free series instead. More drivers racing more often means more free events. Points stay with the team even if a driver leaves.
  3. Recruit. Switch on Recruiting in your team settings, and your team shows on Free agents next to every driver without a team.
  4. Spread them out. Street Host runs up to 2 free pop-up nights a month and 1 free series at a time.
  5. Never waste a free event. Drafts don't spend one, and you can save drafts even when you have none left. If Mantis declines a request, or you take it back to your drafts first, you get the free event back. You also get it back if Mantis takes an event off the schedule.
  6. Team up with another team. In a crossover, only the team that sends it spends a free event. Take turns sending, and two teams get twice the nights.
  7. Use Top 10 lists. Any free pop-up night can run as a Top 10 list, public or just for your roster. Your Roster Top 10 on My team isn't an event, so it costs nothing.
  8. Free events get every tool. Your house rules and judges, your theme and colours on the spec boards, your own poster, private Discord voice for drivers and judges, the live bracket console, and results that count toward the standings. The regular bracket look is free. Only a custom look uses a token.
  9. Get approved the first time. Pop-up nights need 2 days' notice, and a series needs 14. Fill in every box before you send it: the track, the layout, the lobby name and the lobby notes. On event day, press Input password.
  10. Share the work. Team leaders can make events, set up rounds and run race night too. Tokens are personal, so whoever presses the button uses their own.

Want more? Plus is there if you want a bigger garage or more events, but you never need it to race or host.
